Digital Media Strategist · Los Angeles

Howdy, I'm Charles.
I make things people actually feel.

I'm a strategist, creative producer, and occasional over-thinker based in LA. I've spent years figuring out how to make brands feel like people — and people feel genuinely seen.

About

A little about me.

Hey — I'm Charles (he/they). I grew up in Houston, Vietnamese-American, bilingual, and deeply in love with music, food, and the chaotic beauty of live events. That upbringing made me curious about why things resonate — what makes a moment feel real rather than manufactured.

I studied marketing at UH Bauer before going deep into media at USC Annenberg, where I got obsessed with platform disruption, audience psychology, and how brands earn (or lose) trust. Now at Horizon Media in Los Angeles, I get to put that thinking to work — building strategies that connect brands to the right people in the right moment.

Six years of freelance work doing photo production, set design, and community events taught me something no classroom could: the strategy only matters if the execution makes people feel something. That's the bar I hold myself to.

When I'm not at a desk, I'm probably at a concert.

Writing

Thinking out loud.

I write about the things that live between grad school and industry reality — platform disruption, ethical communication, what brands get wrong about culture. Sometimes I just write about music.
